About me

Julie Bishop is an experienced attorney in commercial, technology transactions, and data privacy practices. She has been practicing law for over 25 years, with most of her experience as an in house attorney in public and private companies focused in the technology space.

Before joining BGM Law Group, Julie was Vice President and Global Lead Counsel, of Data Privacy, Information Security and Regulatory Compliance at Avanade Inc. (a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture), where she led a team of attorneys responsible for regulatory compliance across 23 affiliate entities.

Elizabeth counsels clients in data privacy, cybersecurity and corporate matters. Elizabeth also has experience in agreements concerning all aspects of intellectual property and brings significant experience in conducting due diligence review of IP assets in asset purchase transactions. Her skill was instrumental in helping a client close a deal to acquire a Fortune 500 company’s lighting division.

In the privacy and cybersecurity space, Elizabeth provides skilled counsel to clients on how to access, collect, store, protect and transfer electronic data. She holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional – U.S. private-sector (CIPP/US) credential awarded by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

About me

Dave is a founding Partner at BGM Law Group. Prior to founding BGM, Dave was a partner with Murtha Cullina, LLP and served as the Chair of that firm’s Business and Finance Department. David has experience ranging from guiding start-ups in diverse industries to managing complex multi-national transactions. Over the past 5 years, David has led transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion, and has provided guidance for more than 125 individual emerging companies. Recently, David led the legal team for Savant Systems in its acquisition of General Electric Lighting. He regularly leads teams of attorneys from a variety of practice areas in a manner designed to ensure clients receive comprehensive and efficient solutions.

Dave guides companies at all stages of their life-cycle, from formation to exit, whether by sale, generational transfer or otherwise. David assists business with business transactions of every type, including organization, agreements among owners, commercial agreements including supply and distribution chains, and international agreements.
