About Me
Kristen is an experienced commercial litigator with wide-ranging experience in federal and state courts and before arbitration and mediation panels. She has enforced commercial agreements, prevailed in cases among business owners involving competing claims of ownership and control over the company, successfully moved for the appointment of receivers, counseled corporate officers and attorneys on their fiduciary duties, and helped investors who were victims of fraud. She has argued novel questions of law in federal court and before Connecticut’s Supreme Court. The judges of the District of Connecticut appointed her to serve on the Federal Grievance Committee and the Local Civil Rules Advisory Committee.
In the employment context, Kristen has experience with workplace investigations and litigates disputes before state and federal administrative agencies and courts. She also advises clients on noncompete agreements, severance agreements, and the implementation of employment manuals, policies & procedures.
Kristen’s practice also includes advising law firms and attorneys on legal ethics and malpractice claims. Prior to joining BGM Law Group, Kristen was a litigation partner at a regional law firm and served on that firm’s Ethics and Loss Prevention Committee.
Kristen began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Dominic J. Squatrito of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is dedicated to the community and serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of New Haven Legal Assistance Association and as an attorney volunteer at mock trials sponsored by the District of Connecticut’s Public Outreach Committee. She is also an adjunct professor at the Quinnipiac University School of Law.
